Description:
Serena isn't what you would call ugly or beautiful, she has fine, curly, brown hair is worn in an impractical style. She is big boned and yet is skinny for working a lot in the fields. Her eyebrows are not skinny but not busy like you’d see on men's faces and she has small feet. Jinx has muscles but not too big where you could easily see them, she would have to flex a bit for anyone to tell they were there.
Personality:
She is very stubborn but loyal, although she tends to be very forgetful and often silly; saying odd and nonsense things which explains why no one often befriends her. Serena has an uncontrollable temper at times and can very well be very slow but she is rather out going, down to earth, and smart. She’s calculating in important things, such as her work, and will not stand any crudeness in her presence. Sometimes she talks to herself but she is mature and likes to make things fun, she is very hard working and believes that trust is a precious thing and is easy to lose and hard to gain back.
She is very caring but growing up with lots of brothers has made her tough, she is timid around guys sometimes when she is being girly but most of the time she jokes and makes sarcastic comments. Sabina likes to help people and make them smile, she sometimes talks to herself when she is stressed and bites her nails. When she feels nervous she will bit her bottom lip and bit the tip of her thumbs. She will fight for what she believes in, but she has a very open mind to things although she is an agnostic.
History:
Her family owns a farm so she takes online classes and a side job sometimes. Her job she was at she was doing office stuffs; organizing files and such although recently she had decided to quit her job to work more on the farm. Her family needs more money to keep the farm going and need more people to work the fields, since she was a little girl she use to help feed the animals and sometimes even plant crops. She has two younger brothers and three older brothers, as you would have guessed; she is the only girl and so gets roughed around and protected all the time. Despite her being the only girl she still has to pull her own weight around the farm.
Although her family didn’t always live on a farm, they use to live in a run down apartment when she was about five years old. They were poor folks and could barely afford anything, let alone play things, but once given the opportunity to take an offer they just couldn’t pass up they took it without hesitation. They were to crow vegetables and corn on a farm also make milk, and then give half the profit to their land lord. It was working out perfectly! Until recently the workers that use to work there quit or were fired for bad behavior, for that left no one to work the fields as before so, at last, the landlord wasn’t getting the profit he expected.
Since her family worked on the farm and they were usually busy she barely had time for friends, let alone boyfriends, the last boyfriend she had cheated and her and the result was that her older brothers paid someone else to beat him up. To say the least, Serena was too happy with her brothers since she believes in love not fighting but was glad no one could prove her brothers paid someone to beat up her ex. Not only that, her father has cancer and her mother is working a night job and her brothers are usually working the fields so that leaves very little people to play with her developing young brothers. Despite all the turmoil, though, she loves her life and wouldn’t trade anything for it.
Why Play the Game:
She wants a world that she can escape to, one that doesn't have to deal with reality, where she can get away from her problems. The game system was a gift from a rich friend she had as well.
Role Playing Sample:
"Honey, get off from those fields and get ready!" Her mother demanded as she waved from the house.
Sabina wiped the sweat off her brow and looked up at the sun that was baking her, "she's right, I should get ready." Sabina nodded her head in agreement and stood up from the dirt, wiping off her overalls before starting to walk back to the house. The sun was still high and mighty as ever, above the slowly dying crops and indolent animals that thrived in their pins. Her family was not making much money with such products. She was still going to college as a psychologist but it was hard on her family and especially, she worked often in the day and went to school during the night so she had barely any time for anything, not even for her own family at times. It was so stressful for them all and she missed so many days at school that she was on the verge of either getting kicked out or just quitting.
They were all desperate for more money or a miracle before the landowner came and took the land, that he generously let them buy bit by bit for the profit, away; almost all hope was lost until a vanilla envelope came into the mail for Sabina. "It is a life saver!" Her father had called it as he read the important letter within. Now Sabina was happy to be able to go do something about her family’s farm but unhappy about leaving her family to go do so. She only got the evelope because she had signed up for something in Japan, not excepting at all to get picked but still had hope.
“Sabina! What on Earth do you think you are doing out in that field on a day like this?” Her father boomed as she entered into house, he was standing with his hands crisscrossed over his chest in his best suit he had. It was a dark brown with shiny sliver buttons on the cuffs and down his suit. Her father looked charming in the suit but also very meancing, like a mobster.
“Uh,” she gave a meek smile and made her way around her father and ran upstairs, “sorry!” She remarked brushing past one of her older brothers and burst into her room. Being the only girl in her family, besides her mom, she had a room all to herself so it was untouched by dirt. Nothing but a nice pastel green, her mother’s idea because Sabina’s favorite color was green and she didn’t like pink. Her mom figured pastel green would be more girly then a darker green.
“Ah ha!” She exclaimed as she pulled out a pair of her best blue jeans (which were, surprisingly, bell bottoms) and a black shirt that had a beautiful witch on it, casting a spell on a pig. She was a big fan of fantasy, mostly witches, and farm animals and astonishingly enough she had found a perfect online store just for such a mix! Hastily, she slipped on her clothes and shoes making sure to take her duffle bag with her as she traveled back downstairs. “Whew,” she said dropping her bag, “those exercises sure do pay off right about now.”
“Let me fix your hair for you, hold still.” Her mother pushed her down into a wooden chair and undid her messy pony tail, tugging and pulling at her hair before finally finishing in about a half hour. Soon after she looked at it there was a knock at the door, “that must be them!”
“Sabina, take good care and call when you get there.” Her father said and gave that smile only a father could make to his only daughter about to go away. “We love you, now go on.” Sabina got hugged by everyone and kissed her little brother’s good bye before walking out, dragging her bag behind her and gave a timid smile to the man dressed in a limo suit. He smiled back and motioned to an actual Hummer limo, waiting for her to get in before start to pull away.
“Bye, I love you all and take care!” She yelled out the sun window, waving wildly before sitting back down and smiling slightly looking out the window as they passed her farm land.
Saying: Rainbow duckies. <3
